In an interview with Joe Spear, Lead Designer at Populous, Eric Angevine of Bus Leagues Baseball asked what local factors contributed to design of Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

So, at Camden, did you have other influences in the city aside from the B&O Warehouse?
There are other things. I think the Orioles hit on the notion that when you watch the game on television, we want you to know instantly that you’re in Baltimore. They were talking about the city skyline, but when we decided to keep the warehouse, obviously that was an icon also.
That view of the skyline has changed. They’ve built a big hotel just across the street from the ballpark. But the skyline is still very identifiable.

How much did the foot fracture affect you at the end of the playoffs? How much of a factor were any other injuries that you had during the year?

Ovechkin:

Well, to be honest with you, I never knew I had broken my foot until after World Championship, first of all. I blocked a shot. The puck broke my foot. I never ask if I hurt something. I just play the game because it’s the playoffs. It doesn’t matter what happen. You have to be there and you have to play the best that you can.

Boom, right there. That's why he won the Hart.

Laugher Yoga is the Creepiest Exercise in the World [Click for more insanity]

Yeah, laughter yoga is a terrifying, real thing. The premise is pretty easy to grasp: laughing is therapeutic, and the more you laugh, the happier you will be. But things get a little unsettling when people FORCE — I mean really strain — themselves to laugh in order to find inner peace. It’s like looking into the face of pur insanity.

Just don’t tell him any jokes
